Research Activities

Research activities cover a number of different topics, all related to design and management aspects of components and systems devoted to energy conversion.

Among the others, the following aspects are currently being studied:

  • Theoretical and experimental analysis of Diesel and NG internal combustion engines
  • Theoretical and experimental analysis of fuel cell hybrid systems and components
  • Theoretical and experimental analysis of biomass fuelled energy conversion systems
  • Theoretical and experimental analysis of hybrid vehicles

All the activities are carried out in our labs, and studies are supported by developing and using theoretical tools based on codes characterized by flexible degree of detail (0D towards fully transient 3D) depending on task nature (e.g. control, design, deep understandin, etc) and the specific application.
